For local equipment rental try Small Planet. Contact them on 03 442 6393. Every year we receive questions about renting avalanche gear (transceiver, shovel, probe). If it is in your gear list, it is MANDATORY. We know it’s a pain to arrange hire and that available hire gear is limited in Queenstown. You may even need to consider renting it from a local club in your home town! Unfortunately, we are unable to provide or arrange hire of avalanche equipment.
